Did you miss being a part of the Math Fact Fluency Workshop led by Jennifer Bay-Williams in October? We are pleased to announce that ICTM will be hosting an online workshop led by Jennifer that will cover the same content. Space is limited to 30 people. Registration opens December 5. Embed Financial Literacy in Algebra
As of the 2022-23 school year, Iowa students need a personal finance course to graduate from high school. How can math departments take the lead in helping students meet this new finance requirement? Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST)

Nominations are now open for the 2023-2024 cycle. Nominate an outstanding mathematics K-6 teacher before January 8, 2024. Self-nominations are accepted. Applications must be completed by February 6, 2024. Check out previous Iowa awardees. State finalists will be honored at the Iowa Council Teachers of Mathematics Conference with complimentary registration. State awardees receive $10,000 and a trip to Washington D.C.
