First Year Teacher Grant for PK-12 Teachers of Mathematics.

ICTM's Marilyn Zweng Memorial Fund Committee has a First Year Teacher grant ($300 or $500) for teachers new to the teaching profession and teaching any level of math in Iowa. Please forward this info to new hires and administrators in your district. Applications are due August 15.

Iowa Math PD this Summer

ICTM's 2023-2024 Professional Learning Series on Access & Equity begins August 16 with "What is Equity?" by Dr. India WhiteGet a head start on the school year to learn about her work in supporting teachers' understanding of equity and grit in the mathematics classroom. Math Milestones

Math Milestones™ tasks for each grade (K-8) are a visualization of the grade-level standards in the language of teachers and students. Included on the website's homepage is a webinar recording where the project is introduced and explained for teacher and student use.

    Experiences for High School Students

    1. Modeling the Future Scenario Workshop - November 8, the Modeling the Future Scenario Workshop is an in-person, on-campus experience for high school students to learn about actuarial science, the Modeling the Future Challenge process, and to get started on a qualifying scenario for the competition. More information.
