Dave Blum
A good name will shine forever.
Dave Blum, 57, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. He married Dawn Tracy in 1977 and they were blessed with two children. Dave held various positions in the Fort Dodge and West Des Moines school system as a teacher, coach, and administrator. He retired in 2011 as Director of Math and Science Curriculum for the West Des Moines Community Schools. Throughout the years, Dave enjoyed cheering on the Cyclones, fishing and hunting throughout the Midwest, and was an avid reader. ICTM was very fortunate to have Dave as our Conference Chairman, a board member, and an advocate for math education.
